PAUSE is a non-profit organization raising awareness and educating on creating a safe sleep environment for infant and toddlers. 80 % of babies who die from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and SUID (Sudden Unexplained Infant Death) are found in an unsafe sleep environment. An unsafe sleep environment would be a baby sleeping on their stomach instead of the recommended "back to sleep" position, the use of bumper pads, blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, sleep positioners, etc, or found in an adult bed, couch, recliner, car seat and the list goes on. Every day in the United States 12 babies are dying from an unsafe sleep environment. More babies are dying in an adult bed or with adults than those who are found in their crib.
PAUSE educates on how to reduce the risk of SIDS and SUID through education, because putting your baby to sleep right helps ensure they make it through the night. You can also like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pausesafesleep
